Angelstruck is a challenging linear 2D twin-stick shooter with roguelite elements. You play as an angel of the Underworld attempting to shoot her way to Heaven. Fight against the combined armies of the Afterlife and uncover what’s beyond the holy gates.

GAMEPLAY DESCRIPTION

Your character moves horizontally but freely shoots in all directions.

You have two shot types: your primary fire is a straightforward machine gun. Fire enough times and you have to reload. You can attempt to time your reload just right, similar to the active reloads in Gears of War and Synthetik. In addition to shortening your reload time, this will grant a mighty fire rate boost. Slicing through incoming enemies with a perfect reload is loads of fun.

Your secondary fire comes from a preselected special weapon with power that scales with charges. Crush enemies to fill up your charges. Fire your special weapon to release all the charges you’ve built up. More charges, more firepower.

As you level up, you get bestowed with perks. You fill your inventory with these perks and ideally upgrade them enough so that you can unlock new, additional powers. When two compatible perks are maximally upgraded, you have the opportunity to synergize them, unveiling new, potent abilities that can truly turn the tide in your favor.

Between each run, you can get and equip new abilities and weapons from a pre-game loadout menu. Insanely skilled gamers may survive till the end without those gifts, but they sure do help a lot!
